Weatherhaven offers a variety of support equipment to augment the MECC™’s operating capability. The best accessory for your MECC™ is dependent on your application and use of the shelter. Below is a selection of the more commonly used MECC™ accessories. 

Interconnector Kits

One of the key features of the MECC™ is the ability to link it to other MECC™ shelters, as well as the MTS to form a larger complex. The MECC™ can be linked from one end of the shelter to another thru a hard door or from side-to-side thru a fabric door.

• Can be insulated.
• Come in three available sizes: 4’ wide x 4’ long, 7’ wide x 5’ long, and 7’ wide x 12’ long.
• Provide a watertight interior environment.
• Allow personnel to go from one end of the complex to another without having to go outside.

Sunshades

The sunshade is highly effective for deployments in hot or tropical climates. The sunshade is installed on top of the MECC™ and has proven to significantly reduce solar gain on the shelter. This keeps the interior of the MECC™ cooler and reduces the air conditioning electrical loads, saving you money.

• Increase the lifespan of the MECC™ fabric cover and exterior paint.
• Less fuel is consumed by air conditioning equipment.
• Improve the working environment of personnel.

Trailers

Weatherhaven offers a trailer that has been designed specifically to transport a standard 20’ ISO container. As mobility issues are key for militaries, this trailer is ideal when the MECC™ must be transported from one location to another on either rough terrain or paved highway. The MECC™ can also remain on the trailer when deployed or be put on the ground.

• Has a highway speed of 88.5 kph.
• Payload of 15,000 lbs.

Mobilizers

Weatherhaven offers a cost-effective, low-speed mobilizer to transport its 10’ and 20’ MECC™ shelters. Like the trailer, the MECC™ can be deployed still attached to the mobilizer and is fully functional. The mobilizer has a 29,500 lb. gross vehicle weight and can transport containers weighing up to 24,000 lbs.

• Has a flexible design and robust construction.
• Ideal for loading containers onto aircraft as the mobilizer has adjustable ends for ground clearance.
• Can be converted from a low-speed mobilizer to a high-speed unit by adding vehicle accessories. 

Jacks

For ground deployments, Weatherhaven has corner jacks and stands that allow the MECC™ to be set up level on varied terrain. There are wing supports as well that are adjustable in height to allow the wings to be level once deployed. We recommend four jacks per MECC™ and offer sturdy aluminum boxes to transport the jacks.

Stacking Kits

When space is an issue, the MECC™ can be used with a stacking kit that allows the units to be deployed on top of each other. The kit consists of a stairway with platform support, a roof, and six extended wing supports.
