Weatherhaven’s portable first aid and triage shelters are the first stop to receiving, diagnosing, and treating patients with medical care. Doctors and nurses use these shelters to assess patients, assign treatment priorities, and initiate medical documentation. Patients with severe illnesses or injuries are stabilized and then transferred to a medical facility with surgical and patient-holding capability.

Weatherhaven’s first aid and triage shelters often function like a doctor’s office with limited medical capability. The shelters provide an area for assessment and minor treatment, plus space to do paperwork, keep patient records, and prepare the patients for further evacuation if required.
