Weatherhaven provides Relief in Haiti Jan 24th, 2010

Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada – Weatherhaven is providing 140 temporary shelters for use in earthquake-ravaged Haiti. Global TV featured the story on the evening news as well as the weekend news. Weatherhaven possesses Global TV footage of the story and of the shelters being loaded into a 676 aircraft. See photos below:

$130-million shelters contract Burnaby firm wins DND deal. Vancouver Province, Aug 14, 2009

Burnaby-based Weatherhaven and a partner have won a $130-million Department of National Defence contract to build 895 shelters.

About $60 million of the contract will be spent in B.C. by Weatherhaven and its local suppliers, creating 80 direct jobs in the province, the company said. Weatherhaven said it expects to build an additional manufacturing plant in the Lower Mainland to accommodate extra demand from the project. The contract with DND includes an option to buy up to 110 more shelters. Weatherhaven's partner in the contract is DEW Engineering and Development. DND is buying the shelters for use with military vehicles, Weatherhaven said.

Weatherhaven – Olympic Team Secret Weapon. January, 2009

“On the Road to Vancouver” – Farnham Glacier in the Canadian Rockies is home to Camp Green - a summer training facility for the Canadian Alpine Ski and Snowboarding Team. This camp gives athletes a competitive edge since they can’t get this summer training anywhere else. Farnham Glacier is a bleak and desolate place, but the elite athletes who train there are housed in a warm and comfortable Weatherhaven camp, which is owned and operated by the Calgary Olympic Development Association (CODA). This camp sleeps and feeds up to 70 persons and has all of the amenities that these athletes need to give a top performance at the upcoming Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics.
